Title: Johnny Test - Gender bender Johnny Test is a cartoon that airs on Both Cartoon Network and Nickalodeon. Essentialy the show is about Johnny, a 10'ish year old kid, who has two twin sisters that like to perform experiments on him. This ultimatly leads him to getting into all sorts of strange situations. In the episode titled "Johnny to the Center of the Earth" his sisters give him a salt shaker containing "hotty body flakes". Eating these he is transformed into a girl (see above pic) and then a few seconds later into a large monster. I made this sculpt around the time the 3DTotal website was having a gender bender mini-contest, where people would chose a character from games, cartoons, etc. and make a gender-swaped version of them. During the contest however I was repeatedly told that I should change the design, to 'make it my own' so to speak. After toying around a bit and even getting much of the lowpoly mesh done I came to feel like I was doing more harm then good by changing things. Because of this I droped the project. Above you can see the mostly pre-acessorized version of the sculpt (earings and buttons remain). Here's a sketch I did of the watch before modeling it (watch is normally worn by Johnny but was forgotten by animators in the ref pic). Here's a pic of the lowpoly mesh. |
